Banou

Software engineer building browser platforms, media systems, and developer tools.

I work across TypeScript, Rust, and WebAssembly to bring systems-level capabilities to the web. My current focus is FKN, a privacy oriented platform offering in-browser networking, storage, and more.

Projects built close to the browser.

  • sshotA Rust screenshot daemon for Wayland and niri.

FKN extends what browser apps can do.

FKN gives web applications networking, storage, and user-controlled page automation through @fkn/lib. Hosted services work without an installation. The optional browser extension adds permission-based capabilities that use the user's browser or existing session.

  • CloudHosted networking, storage, proxying, DNS, and isolated page automation.
  • ExtensionPermission-based browser capabilities with per-app consent and local activity visibility.
  • DesktopA planned local backend for running more platform capabilities on the user's machine.
